Debates are normally held on the first Monday of every month. The venue is The Old Bank of England public house in Fleet Street, London (adjacent to the Law Courts) EC4A 2LT. Nearest tubes: Chancery Lane and Temple. Map (opens in new window).

Debates commence at 7 pm, and continue until approximately 9.30pm. Both members and visitors are welcome to speak at all debates.

Additionally please note:

-    that a Dinner Debate is held annually in early Summer. The Motion for debate is chosen for its lightheartedness

-    that the Annual General Meeting, at which the President and other Officers are elected, is held in the Autumn of each year

-    that the Trustees of the Sylvans Debating Club are Lord Harmsworth, Mr Harry Heywood and Mr Donald Leon Soon.
